recordmydesktop software package provides Captures audio-video data of a Linux desktop session, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop
recordmydesktop is installed in your system.
Make ensure the recordmydesktop package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep recordmydesktop *
You will get with recordmydesktop package name, version, architecture and description in a table
